Mr. Hewamana is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Banking & Finance at the Faculty of Business Studies & Finance, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance (Special) with First-Class Honours from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and has earned a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Business Economics from the same university. Additionally, he is a licensed CFA Charterholder of the CFA Institute, USA.
With expertise in financial management, economics, and business analysis, Mr. Hewamana has a strong academic and professional background. His areas of specialization include investment management, financial economics, financial mathematics, and business strategy.
Beyond academia and industry, Mr. Hewamana is actively involved in international volunteer initiatives. He has served as a judge for the inaugural ESG Award and as a CFA exam grader. Additionally, he represents Wayamba University in the Sri Lanka Forum of University Economists (SLFUE), a national organization dedicated to advancing economics education and policy advisory.
