General Information
The objective of the Sri Lanka Journal of Banking and Finance (SLJBF) is to publish quality research manuscripts in the fields of Economics, Banking and Finance. The SLJBF is the official journal of the Department of Banking and Finance, Faculty of Business Studies and Finance, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka.
Paper Submission Checklist
Authors are requested to check the following:
– The article should be in Microsoft Word document file format (B5) and the same article should be submitted in PDF format too.
– Article should contain complete details of Author’s names and Organization Provide authors full contact details including names, affiliations, complete email addresses, mailing addresses and telephone numbers
– The text is single-spaced; uses a 11-point font; Times New Roman; and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end
– Declaration letter stating the research work belongs to author/s and the current submission is neither published nor simultaneously submitted or accepted elsewhere for publication.
Paper Preparation Guidelines
1. Abstract and Keywords
Abstract should appear in bold and text should start in next line. It should be informative, self-contained, citation free and explain background, purpose of study, methods, principle results and major conclusions in single space, not exceeding 300 words.
Keywords should appear in bold without a colon and confined to maximum of five keywords. The keywords should start on the next line separated by commas only.
2. Manuscript Preparation
Main Test
The main text should be single column and single space throughout and with a minimum of 2cm for left and right hand margins and 3 cm at head and foot. Text should be standard 11 points font size, right and left justified, paragraphs first line indented and font Times New Roman with page numbered at the bottom and Centre of every page. The paper should include following headings namely Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results and Discussion and Conclusion with policy implications.
3. Heading
All Headings should be in UPPERCASE, starting with 1 INTRODUCTION, and should be bolded, font size 11 and aligned left, numbered sequentially as 1, 2, 3, etc. Do not number Abstract and References. Subheadings should appear Initial caps, bold, font size 11, left justified. Subheadings should be numbered 1.1., 1.2, etc. further division of subheadings should be numbered as 1.1.1. Headings should be short and clear indication of the content.
4. Figures and Tables
Tables should be numbered sequentially as 1 2 3 with an explanatory title aligned centered above the table. Times New Roman.10pt, bold, lowercase must be used. Figures should be numbered sequentially as 1 2 3 with an explanatory title aligned centered below the table. Times New Roman.10pt, bold, lowercase must be used. Single line titles are preferred. Heading consists of table/figure number in one line and table/figure title in subsequent line. Source for figures and tables should be mentioned. Tables and Figures must be black and white by pattern filled in editable format.
5. References
List of references should be arranged in alphabetical order. It must be single space and at the end of manuscript. References should refer only to materials cited within the text. References should be cited in the APA referencing style.
