Ms. Danusha Parami Somasekara holds a Bachelor of Business Science (Honours) degree with a Second Class Upper Division from the University of Moratuwa, specializing in Financial Services Management. Upon graduation, she joined the Department of Banking & Finance at Wayamba University of Sri Lanka as an Assistant Lecturer.
She has gained diverse industry exposure in treasury operations, financial analysis, banking practices, and organizational processes through training at leading institutions, including Softlogic Life Insurance PLC, Acuity Knowledge Partners, Bank of Ceylon, and Lanka Tiles PLC. These experiences have strengthened her understanding of the integration between operational efficiency and financial performance.
Her academic and professional interests focus on banking and financial systems, with particular emphasis on finance-related quantitative analysis. She is strongly committed to undergraduate teaching, academic development, and the application of analytical approaches to real-world financial and operational decision-making.
